There are three sensing modes it offers. You can wave, kick, or touch to open it, and there's even a 'button normally open' mode for when you're tackling a bigger clean-up and need the lid to stay up. Another huge bonus is that it's waterproof and moisture-proof, making it ideal for wet or splash-prone environments like bathrooms. I've been using it for a month now, and it's holding up beautifully. Oh, and there's a garbage bag fixing ring inside—it keeps the bag in place so well and makes putting in and taking out bags super easy. I would recommend it to anyone with tight bathroom spaces!

This trash can not be put under a sink or a piece of furniture because the infrared system is too powerful the lid opens without stopping!
