I bought this for my halloween obsessed son and it is exactly what I was looking for. The motion detector catches my son's tiny hand about 90% of the time which is pretty good and the scare factor is perfect for smaller kids. Overall the quality is good - nice durable plastic. The hand is more resilient than I expected as well. Overall, we are very happy with the purchase.

This is a pretty cool Halloween candy bowl. The first one I ordered was kind of defective because the door that the hand comes out didnt close properly. And notice that the spring was messed up. So I sent it back and within a couple days I received a new one from Website this one works perfectly so far so good no issues. If you think about ordering this in the future go ahead and go for it. Im probably going to keep this out all year round as a candy bowl for my guests. Probably turn the motion detector off so it doesnt wear out but pretty cool candy bowl for a coffee table.

Its cute. Scary enough to make it fun when little hands grab the candy. Wish the bowl was a little bigger though. I will have to refill it often.
