I bought it after my friend’s DWI incident because he knew he had not enough to drink to be arrested and convicted and I bought this device three weeks ago and I love this device after the first use it has paid for itself, very accurate and reliable. This device is small and compact so you can easily put it in your pocket if you'd like.

I would personally highly recommend it to anyone and I will be talking it up to all my friends and family in the future.

My friend had one of these and after an evening out where I drank very moderately and felt completely sober, I blew a 0.04. Hmm - maybe my "rule of thumb" for drinking may be invalid. I purchased one of these to help me correlate how I feel with what my BAC is and how long it takes me to get back to 0.00. I doubt I would carry it around with me to test myself before driving - but it might be handy for convincing other people that they aren't. And it can be fun thing to have at a party.

Turns out I feel fine at much higher levels than I thought and seems to take a lot longer for me to metabolize the alcohol in my system. I'm glad I got this so I can put some real numbers with how I drink and feel (but I'm an engineer so this type of thing is in my nature). I bought a second one as a gift for a friend who I thought could use one.

Most interesting result was waking up the next morning after a night of heavy drinking (all within walking distance of home) and still blowing a 0.03.

I use this to show friends how 1 drink can have you at the legal limit. I is really educational to see how long your blood alcohol level stays at over the legal limit for hours after you quit drinking. It's been a game changer. Had I known the information that has been shown to me through the use of this breathalyzer I definitely would have NEVER driven after drinking. I just didn't realize the huge difference between me not feeling any affect of alcohol but by BAL was still up. I recommend for parents to give to their teens to teach them that you don't have to feel "drunk" to get a DUI. Fun to take to cocktail parties to show people why they should call a cab or UBER.

It’s easy to use. It’s a bit on the pricy side, but being approved by the DOT, I assume the extra hundred bucks or so is worth it for the accuracy. It also has a warranty and you can send it in to get it calibrated so that’s reassuring, since cheap breathalyzers don’t always stay accurate. I’d highly recommend it if you’re a drinker and you drive or carry firearms. Alcohol and cars/firearms don’t mix, so it’s crucial to check if you are intoxicated if you drive or carry guns.
