Heard from her brother that it carved the turkey quite nicely over Thanksgiving and see was looking forward to using it on the Christmas ham. She loves it and that's really all that matters to me. But as knige guy myself the overall look and feel of the blade and most importantly the balance all impressed me. The leather sheath was well made as well. This knife was recommended by a chef friend, that has had his over a year and said it only needs minor touch ups on the edge every now and then. So far I love this thing. It has a great rustic look and came with a good sharp edge. I highly recommend this knife. I think you get more than what you pay for.
