   Bought for my elderly mother and she was able to use it easily. The only things I dislike are that the test strips are so small they can be hard to use, and the symbols on the lancet device are the same color as the device and are hard to see.

   Nice compact unit, I've been using a different brand that also allowed me to use alternate test sites and I liked it but the test strips were very costly. this Care Touch unit allows alternate test sites and needs less of a blood drop than the other brand and the price of these care touch test strips is MUCH CHEAPER....

   I’m an EMT/Firefighter and bought this to have in my kit. I also use it to test my glucose levels after fasting and eating to see how different diets affect my body. I find this a must have tool for the gym as I’m a gym owner as well as to carry in my medic kit. It’s easy to use. Great solid product!

   I have used a different glucometer in the past and found this one much more economical and direct. I like that the blood is pulled up into the strip directly and not from the side. That results in much less wastage of teststrips because of incomplete filling. The test strips are smaller and fit into the meter easily. Their price is much less than other companies on the market. The only slight negative is that the LCD display has no backlight so room light needs to be acceptable. I have used the meter for about a month and find the results reproducible. I'd highly recommend it.

   I used 3 different kinds of glucometer before. It takes less blood which I like. For those reviews that complaining about accuracy. No OTC meter will give you 100% accurate result. Even if you check your glucose two different site at the same time, the results might be different. In other words, if you check blood glucose from your thumb and middle finger at the same time, you may get different results. It is normal as long as the result is within the range of error. If your 90 day average is same as your A1c (i.e, A1c was 6 and your 90 day average is ~136) then your machine is working.

   I like everything about this meter ... it's easy to use and affordable ... I read some reviews questioning the accuracy, I checked the accuracy of mine at the same time I had labs done on my last dr.'s visit and my reading was within 3 pts. of the actual lab results ... to me it shows it is about accurate as it can be since any reading within 10% of lab results are considered accurate ... mine is about a 1% difference ... would highly recommend to anyone especially anyone who is newly diagnosed w/t2d as I am ...
