This works, I've set the frequency specifically for dogs and it must be perfect because I have not needed to adjust it. The motion sensor works from a very wide range, I know because I have tried to approach it from almost behind its line of sight and still set it off. Very sensitive and functional (I can hear it when it goes off, like a ringing in my ear and high pressure) I love it.
