This makes weed removal much easier with less strain on your hands. This is the second one I have purchased only because I was afraid I might lose the first one and not be able to find another. Instead of pulling, you stick the digger end in the ground and push down on the handle. The half circle on the tool next to the ground provides the leverage to pop the weed out of the ground.

I used the product for pulling weeds in my lawn. The handle is very comfortable (i always wear gloves, but some tools still make my hands a little sore). I have an older tool that does not have the curved metal added on the blade piece. I found the extra metal helped to provide extra leverage when cranking the tool from vertical to somewhat horizontal to pop the weeks. I am very pleased with my purchase.
