I am going to have to give this little thing 5 stars because it is just so freaking awesome. Yes, it has some hang ups...like the plunger sticks every once in a while and the final product isn't lip searingly hot. But..if you stop to take a look at the reality of the brilliance behind this product You can over look some small mechanical issues. I use this little jewel everyday and make everyone extremely jealous at work. I might as well be a sorcerer when I pull this thing out. It makes a perfectly delicious, creamy shot of espresso that has made me the popular kid at work. The instructions that come with it are spot on and easy to follow. The whole little system is compact and is easy to tote around. Work coffee is horrible but this is a game changer. So easy to use and makes a great little shot of espresso.

I literally cannot function without espresso, I need to drink three or four every day otherwise I'm grumpy. A year ago I got the Minipresso GR for Christmas. It's been with me around the Oregon coast, Grand Canyon, Koh Phangan, Yosemite... always making great espresso with loads of delicious crema, comparable to what my Krups machine at home makes. The MiniPresso broke after six months, so I bought another. The second one also broke after six months, so I decided to try the competing HandPresso instead.

OH WOW. It works. It works really well. The pump is a bit tricky at first but once you figure it out, your life will change for the better. I also got a pound of light roast Kona, which hasn't arrived yet....I haven't been this excited about coffee since I tried my first cup of Kona years ago. No more Keurig! No more gas station coffee! I can have an Americano on my way to work. With some Brahms quartets playing, and the seat heater on. Quality of life spike. I'm sure that professional barista works with a thousand dollar machine, or is paid by a competitor, but he was not fair with his review.

Absolutely amazing little gadget. I’ve been using French press or Moka pots for coffee for many years. I’ve even got a Bialetti Moka Crema pot in the hopes of creating the perfect espresso with crema on top in the comfort of my own home. This little hand pump is the perfect replacement for stove top pots and cafetières. It takes up no space on your precious countertop and is dead easy to operate without reading instructions. If you can boil water, you can do this!

Its amazing that this is capable of making good tasting espressos! Only problem was that the filter basket broke after a month and had to have a new one shipped out to me but it was free of charge. While I am no espresso aficionado, I honestly cant taste the difference between the espressos this makes and the espressos I had in Europe this past summer.
