First off, let it be said that I've always hated cooking pasta. Find the pot that's always in the far reaches of the cabinet which makes a lot of noise that traumatizes the resident cat. Boil the water and then watch it while the pasta cooks so it doesn't boil over. Then, find the colander which is also never easily accessible. The whole process was just annoying and I cooked pasta infrequently. Enter the "Pasta Boat." I had read a good review earlier in the week and figured since it was inexpensive I'd give it a try. Just finished cooking 6 servings of elbows that turned out perfectly. Read the book, follow the instructions...a no brainer. If you're cooking for ten maybe not so good, but it's wonderful for one or two people. Not a thing I'd change about it. I'm delirious with glee!

For our uses (we live in an apartment) this thing is perfect. Especially since we have a small stove and can barely make more than two things at once, this thing saves space AND time. Any doubts that I had about this exceptional little gadget have been spirited away as it works wonders. It makes perfect pasta (any) and i'm sure it works with many other kinds of noodles as well. Would definitely recommend to those who are looking for a way to conveniently cook their pasta without the hassle of designating it it's own pan and a portion of your attention. Just put it in the microwave and once it's done, just strain and it's done!
