   It takes a cut or two to get the hang of it, but once up and running, it helps cut straight lines! Who knew! Best advice is to do a test cut to ensure the placement of the front red "cut line" matches the actual cut line of the saw blade. You may have to adjust the red guide a few clicks in either direction, or move the actual guide a 1/4", to get the cut you need factoring in the width of the saw blade (do you need 1/8 less than the cut line or do you need to slide over 1/8 and get a full width cut). Lots of levers to pull to get the straight cut you need but once you get everything set, cut away! Works with my Ryobi circular saw without a problem.

   I really like this saw guide. I've used it on 1/2" and 3/4" plywood with no issues. As other have said, be careful near the end of the cut, or the guide may not run true against the edge, causing a poor finish to the cut. And be careful with the plastic position lock - it's a bit flimsy for how important it is for proper functioning of the guide. With those two cautions, I highly recommend this product.

   It's solid but I wish I could tighten the clamps down without a screwdriver. Also keep in mind that it does add thickness to the saw base so if you have a small saw like me you have to remove the attachment if you want to cut lumber. Another reason hand tightened clamps would be better.
