Diatom Earth Japanese Bath Mat

Available in three natural colors, using Diatomaceous Earth (DE) from Ishikawa and Akita Prefectures, the Diatom Earth Japanese Bath Mat absorbs water instantly, leaving your feet dry, clean and free from bacteria that traditional bath mats harbor.

This bath mat is entirely natural, with nothing else added and does not require any washing. It’s simply harvested and molded, using craftsmen’s trowels.

Diatomaceous soil is made from tiny, fossilized water plants that existed in the prehistoric period so when you dry your feet, you’ll be standing on thousands of years of Earth’s history!

The secret to the mat’s moisture-wicking quality lies in the millions of naturally occurring, microscopic holes which make it incredibly porous and deodorizing. The tiny particles in the diatomite soil allow water to evaporate quickly in natural air, eliminating the safe haven for mold, mildew, and bacteria.

Perfect bath mat for those who are sick of wet nasty rugs. These absorb great and dry fast. Surprisingly not uncomfortable to step on. I was afraid I would kick it with my foot because I’m clumsy, but that hasn’t happened. It has a very low profile and is very smooth. It’s a weird concept to sell, but I would recommend these to anyone.

With a boat, you are always fighting moisture. We use this in front of the sink as spray from the shower, though it is separate, often ends up on it. It will be completely soaked by the time I am finished drying off and dry in just a few hours. I ended up not using the anti-ski mat as it wasn't helping and just made it more difficult to square it up.

Super absorbent to the point of magic! However, it's always a little jarring to come out to a hard rock surface. Plus it absorbs all the moisture right away -- to the point where my feet feel dry and needing lotion! Definitely perfect if you have people who come out of the shower wet or if you have a lot of family members -- and want to avoid a potentially humid environment. Maybe not necessary if you have a smaller household or people who are really good at drying themselves off.

I didn’t want to have a wet bath mat laying around when we shut up our RV and didn’t want to always have to take it home so I got this for it’s quick drying properties. It is really a cool concept- It is super absorbent and dries very, very quickly. It is thin enough for the door to open over it but not so thin that I’m afraid it will break. We are very pleased with this and highly recommend it.

İt does the job so well without any complications at all. 10 pp can use it in a row and I am sure it will be dry for the 11th. İt is so easy to clean and very pretty all modern and neat yet a natural element. Looks like a designer piece.
