Wow! Very safely wrapped. Looked twice as big as when unwrapped. Seems to work as described, but still getting the hang of it as yet. I might need some practise, but if I can get it right, then I may be able to teach someone who only has 1 hand to use in order to peel their own eggs. Warning: the eggs can shoot out with some force, which may send bits of shell and egg flying, so maybe safest over a bowl or container rather than a plate. That said, the yolk of my soft boiled egg stayed intact and only the white broke a bit. *phew*

I love my Eggstractor. This is not a kitchen device meant for serious people and serious chefs though. The greatest thing about the Eggstractor is that every few eggs one makes a delightful farting noise as it shoots through the hole. Cracks me up every time. This thing provides enough entertainment that I actually want to do an otherwise crappy job, and for that I am grateful.

The directions are flat out wrong though. After boiling eggs, drain them and dump a little ice on them. As soon as you are able to handle them, start Egg-stracting. Also, crush both ends. Seriously. Once you have done that, the egg will shoot through no problem.

If eggs are small and are that warm, however, you may find the whole egg going through. That's okay, the shell will be broken enough to pull off easily. If you just get the yolk, the egg is too cold.

Lastly, try to use this on a table or deep counter as I have sometimes egg-stracting too vigorously and shot shell across the room. Oops.

I hate peeling hard boiled eggs until now! Followed the directions exactly and got 12 out of 14 perfect eggs, peeled in 10 minutes! 2 stuck a little but not bad. So excited with this product. Won't dread the egg peeling any more! I was very skeptical but it really did work and made peeling so easy.

I was a little skeptical after seeing all the negative reviews but I think that the reason for that was that those people must have done something wrong. I cooked my eggs in my 10 egg cuisinart egg cooker. I then took the eggs out and put them in icewater for 10 minutes. I made sure that I used the piercer on the small end and cracked both ends on the counter (the large end was alrealy pierced when I used my cuisinart). The small end was then put upwards and whoosh, out came the egg! I think the big mistake everyone else was making was to put the eggs in the refrigerator rather than using the eggstractor after the 10 minutes in the ice water. Happy eggstracting!

I suck at getting the shells off my hard boiled eggs so I thought this gadget would be worth a shot. I got it, prepped my eggs and then went to work with this thing. It actually works as it says!! Took less than 2 minutes to de-shell 8 hard boiled eggs where it would take 2 minutes to destroy one egg in the past. For me this was worth it

I bought this gadget to replace the last one that I have had since 2006 because the pointer to crack one end open to allow air to pass through when you use the top part of the plunger to extract the egg, was almost gone to a flat & I think that you'll agree that this gadget is awesome to use instead of trying to get all the egg shell off which this thing can take it all off in one or two plunges & you've got one egg in one piece, it's absolutely great....!
