Bought for my almost five year old, it was a hit. Super fun commands and the dog engages well. The best thing is that the dog dances and sings to Michael Jackson songs, which was very entertaining. Dog charged with a wall charger which is nice because you don't have to change batteries. First day with the dog and so far so good!

My grandson loves his robo dog..its very cute, has many great features and is easy to use. But unfortunately he/we just started playing with it before checking to see that all of the pieces were in the box. We didn’t know it was missing the charging cord until the toy had run out of power. My husband and I had tried several other cords but to no avail. My grandson refused to let me return “his doggy” even though it's basically useless now. The customer service manager ( I assume), reached out to me after hearing my concern. Cathy was more than professional, she was warm, caring and willing to listen. She went above and beyond my expectations. She told me that the company was sending a completely new toy when I'd have been fine with just a cord. I was an at the generosity and blown away by the speedy response to my issue. Cathy is a gem and I am so grateful to her and her company.

The dog is controlled by a remote and it can mimic the real dog movements quite nicely. It can go forward, backward, turn, twist, lift one of its hind legs, and combine some movements together. The dog moves smoothly on both hardwood floor and carpet. The dog is charged directly from a wall outlet (needs an USB adapter not included in the package), and the remote needs two AAA batteries. The remote has a button to demo dog dancing following some songs, which are quite fun to watch. Overall a fun toy especially for younger kids.
