My dog loves it, he can’t wait to play with it every day. Balls are smaller than normal tennis type, but still works for small - medium breeds. Do not try this model on big breeds, they’ll choke with the small balls.

The launcher works well. You drop the ball in and it spits it out. My dog just needs some training and guidance to learn to do it herself.

I researched a lot of different ball throwers and was concerned about reviews stating the balls get stuck and/or it stopped working shortly after purchase. In the end I chose to go with the most expensive option and it was worth it - it works like a champ and my dog LOVES it! Plus he's used to full sized tennis balls so I didn't want one that uses smaller balls. This one will throw regular tennis balls as well as the balls it comes with. He still hasn't figured out how to drop it in the top, but when it's winding up he stands there and wags his tail in anticipation until it launches.

This one does not have scary loud bells or alarms. It comes with a remote, storage bag and can run off battery that recharges automatically or electricity. I don't think it has a shut down timer either for the energetic dogs. Very well made.
