   I used to have one of the handheld irrigators and it finally gave out so I decided to upgrade. I like that this one has several speed choices and different tips to use. I typically just use the main one, but choices are always good. If you've never used an oral irrigator before, be sure to start out on the lower pressure settings or your gums will definitely bleed. It takes awhile to build up to the higher speeds, but this will make your gums healthier and it a great alternative to flossing, mostly because it can get all the way up in your gums, all around your tooth, which floss can't do. My dental hygienist has said that my gums look healthier after using this (or my past ones). It really does make a difference.

   I got this new waterpik to replace an older one that I have used daily for several years. I was nervous because a couple people said it was not made as well as the older model but I did not find that to be the case at all.

   So my dentist recommended I get one of these to aid in my flossing because it blasts in there better than floss gets in and prevents periodontal disease and what not. It says to not use at full power but I find it's the only way to get in there deep. The cord is short and the picks cable is short as well. I attach it to an extension cord and use it in my shower because the splash gets everywheres. You can't use this at a sink cleanly. I prefer using Luke warm water. Feels better on my gums than ice cold. It has lots of attachments but the only one that you need is the fine pressure one.

   I use it more than once a day now. I'm a bit of a coffee connoisseur and I like to cleanse my palette before the morning coffee. So I do a quick rinse with this Waterpik first thing in the morning. Then I use it after breakfast and after dinner.

   This the best thing one could do for their mouth I absolutely love and, recommend it worth every penny I paid for it . I don't even have to scrape my tounge any more as there is no buildup to remove anymore. don't think I could go on without it now. my gums continue to become pink more and, more in the lower gum area .Awsome Machine!
