   It's noisy, parts of it are cheap made. But the idea of it: is amazing. It deserves 5 stars. Maybe the second generation will be a lot better. The amazing thing about it: It does protect your teeth. My gum used to bleed when i used to floss the traditional way. I used to brush my teeth first and then floss, as i was brushing my teeth, my gum used to bleed. I never understood why till recently. When you brush your teeth, usually there are pieces of food stuck to your gum. As you brush your teeth those pieces will irritate your gum causing your gum to bleed. Which is unhealthy on the daily basis. Using the water pick before your brush your teeth, will remove any remaining food that was stuck to your teeth gently without causing any irritation. So flossing with a water pick before brushing your teeth won't cause bleeding. And brushing your teeth afterwards won't cause a bleed either . I highly recommended it if you want healthy gum. Hopefully the next generation will be a lot better. And its really messy till you develop a way on how to use it.

   I'm not too impressed with the "massage" feature. I just stick to the "floss" feature. I really like that you turn the main motor on, then you have another on-off switch on the flossing wand. With the tiny hand-held model, I would often get a jet of water in my eyes, because it was harder to turn on and off. Also, this water reservoir holds enough water to get the job done. I don't have to refill the water reservoir a couple of times to floss as much as I want. My dentist is going to be so pleased with how healthy my gums are!

   I’ve had this about 3 months so I waited for results before writing a review. Had an appointment with the hygienist recently and what a difference this product made, with nightly use. I was diagnosed with periodontal disease and was told I needed laser treatment and if that didn’t work, possible gum surgery, at multiple appointments. There was no mention of a waterpik to help me; I researched this on my own. This visit, no mention of laser or gum surgery and much improved gum pocket inflammation. I also added one oral biotic tablet, BLIS K12, salivarius (good bacteria) each day and I threw out the alcohol mouthwash and toothpaste with triclosan bought Tom’s mouthwash and sensodeyne with no triclosan. I think the other things I was using were killing the good bacteria. I’m writing this to help others because I don’t think these things are talked about in the dentist office.

   Over all I am very happy with my purchase. I loved my old one too but it just was getting nasty looking after a few years of daily use. I do like this one better and while I recommend both units this one has a bit of an edge.

   Extremely quiet and well worth the money. I've been having problems with my gums bleeding and my teeth are too crowded and tight to comfortably floss, so I decided to go with a water jet plaque cleaning system. I decided on this one because it looks sleek (I got it in black), had good reviews and had all the accessories... so I took a shot. The last time I used one of these things I remember it sounding like a noisy air compressor, but this one is really a low ambient rumble at best. I read a review that the slide switch on the handle was hard to operate but I either got lucky, or they got unlucky. I'm here to say that the slide switch on the handle takes almost zero effort to operate (this is a more important thing than you might realize, as you use this feature a few times during each of your cleanings).

   I love how my teeth feel after using the scaler. I use the tip for people with crowns and/or implants. Unfortunately, I have a couple of veneers and never thought about the removing them..... It did! Right down the drain. I will continue using it but will avoid the teeth with veneers, or use a low setting... I did have the waterpik on a high setting-8. A very expensive lesson and I hope this review will save you from the same outcome.
