Although I am just sticking a toe into square inch gardening, this is a great tool even for those who want to get more plants into a limited space. I love that is made of reusable plastic.. I plan to use the Native American 'sisters' technique for my squash, corn and green beans. My squash plants will take up so much space in my 4 x 8 boxes, that I plan on placing them at the ends of the garden with the beans and corn close by them. This will help with spacing all the other garden plants we plan to grow in our other raised beds.

I’ve been gardening for 50 years. I thought this looked gimmicky but the reviews were dramatic so I tried it. It’s even better than the reviews say. I presoak all my seeds so they germinate fast and strong. This makes them delicate putting them into the soil. This tool with seed funnel made planting extremely delicate on them, accurate and easy. I place the template and then punch all the holes to the correct depth. After the seed is in the hole I Don’t put any dirt over the seeds, just water and dirt fills the holes automatically. And the seeds came up in 2-3 days. Unbelievable!

I'm an experienced gardener and wanted a garden bed that looked like a garden video. I wasn't sure about this, or about just making my own seed template. It ended up working perfectly. It's light weight, easy to clean off, and when the wind is blowing, still easy to plant small seeds. My beds look good, and I have more growing than using my old, "guess" system. This is something I will be using in the future, season after season.

Love this tool! It's quirky and awkward but the design and quality are solid. The device and the card inside was a huge help to my garden organization this year. I basically categorized everything by color and then went to work. I also like that the "planting stick" is magnetized and easily sticks right back into the tray. I will force my gardening friends to each buy one. It's great!
