I'm an OB nurse and I bought this doppler. It works really well and locates the heartbeat in a very similar way to the device the OB physicians use. The one thing I will say, if you're looking to get one is to make sure you know what you're looking for. Things like internal movement in the organs, stool, gas, if you're overweight can all affect how clearly you hear the heartbeat. Once you know what you're looking for it's pretty easy and this doppler does a REALLy good job.
