This product is very easy to use. I like that it is solar-powered and does not require any setup. All you have to do is make a hole and stick the stake in the ground. The stake emits a vibration throughout the stake. So far, I have not seen any unwanted guests in the yard.

I bought one of these at this website. Everyone that heard them raved, so I went back to the store to buy some for gifts, and they were discontinued. I was pleased to find them here and bought three more. I have built several chimes in my day. Some of them sound good. These sound far superior. Excellent construction and finish. They look great. Well worth the price. Many cost much more and don't come close to the excellent tone. Not annoying tinny noise like many. Just soothing tuned tones. Remove the large wind catcher in high winds. These weight about 9 pounds and in a high wind add more strain on a hanger. Make sure to use something substantial to hang them from. About 60" tall overall. Longest chime is about 28 3/8 inches. The tubes are about 1 1/2" in diameter and the tubing is about 1/8" thick. Not cheap junk!

I based my purchase on the reviews I saw - when I got the item and put it in the sunlight, it immediately went off. It's quite an annoying sound, even more me. My old ones had stopped working over the last few years, and these were a good bargain. They have a button on the bottom that you can push to deactivate in case you have guests over or want to enjoy some quiet.

It takes a little bit to get used to the beeping but so far it seems to be doing the job. Update: we flattened out all of the old mounds in the garden when we installed these and it's now been over a month and into spring now and no new mounds or signs of voles in my front garden nor my backyard. Seem to be working well!
