Loved the concept of these clippers. However, after three uses the battery pack went loose and fell apart. Now the light on it won't work anymore. Even if I put the batteries back in correctly, the light on the clippers won't turn back on. I will be looking at a different brand for new clippers. Just mad these were so pricey.

I have tried several different clippers including the one that you put on the end of a dremel tool and a separate battery powered one and both of them did not work well. This clipper works just as described. I would highly recommend this product if you trim your pets nails at home.

My dog has darker nails so the light doesn’t totally penetrate the nail’s inside vein but it helps me see where the tip of the nail is.. just cut slowly little by little and no harm will be done. Giving this a 5 star despite not using the light feature to the fullest potential - the blade is sharp and trigger is easy to squeeze!

Sturdy, clipped easily, loved the 3 setting light (left, right, and both) to help light up behind the nail. Since my dog's quicks grow really long and thin toward the end, the magnifying shield over it helped to see where the quick ended better at times. I wish I had known about it sooner.
