   I just got this yesterday and tested it out. It actually works! My windows were filthy from renovating and have not been cleaned since I bought my house last year (probably another 5 years beyond that). If you go slow the magnet will definitely work. I did my bay windows in 20 minutes and it does take time and getting used to, but It saved me from climbing a 15 foot ladder or paying someone hundreds of dollars to do it. In less than a one season and an hour of time i think this pays for itself.

   We have large 5th floor sliding windows, which are impossible to reach all the way across from the inside. Since some of the sliders overlap when they are open, it is impossible to reach all of the outside surfaces of some windows unless they are all closed, which means there is no way to clean them from the inside. This product worked great for our situation. We opened the windows just enough to thoroughly wet down the outsides, reached the outer half of the unit around to the outside of each of the windows, mated it with the inner half, and then closed the windows so that there was no overlap among the sliders. With this system, we could use the unit to squeegee the whole surface of all the windows, one at a time. Follow up with the included microfibre cloths, and the finished product is pretty good. Not quite as perfect as if you could access the whole window inside and out with a professional window cleaner, but we do not have that option.

   I really am happy with the product right out of the package and am looking forward to doing the rest of the windows in my apartment. I would say the most important thing is slow, steady, give yourself time to get the hang of it and use lots of fluid to keep it gliding. Don't let the two devices get far apart, if they are, slow down, or adjust the magnet strength so you're not pulling too hard on the external half of the device.

   This product is super strong and stays together easily on my double pane windows. I stick my arm out the window, spray the window liberally with Windex and then spray the inside of the window. Attach the exterior magnetic cleaner (the one with the rope) and do S shapes from top to bottom. I didn't have an issue with one lagging behind the other. Once done, attach the microfiber on each end. I sprayed the outside one with some windex. Use the microfibers to remove streaks.
