Our child is into SW and this was the best gift for Xmas. The sound is similar enough to the lightsaber, at least for a 5 year old. The battery lasts about 1 week of daily play for about an hour+ Replacing the battery is not hard, you need a small screwdriver and AAA replacements. You know that the battery is dying since it won't light up in daylight either. It's very bright when you have fully charged batteries. Also, play gently with these. Treating it like a wooden stick will quickly break the integrity of the plastic and the dents cannot be undone. good product!

These held up really well and were a lot of fun. They did break after about 5 of months but very understandable with how hard my son and I played with them. I was able to fix them a couple times by soldering the wires back on and putting some duct tape around the base where the light connects to the handle. I was very happy with my purchase and would purchase them again. My son and I had so much fun with them when the lights and sound were working and we are still having fun with them without the lights and sound.

Super cool toy, epic battles will ensue. Great sound effects, short of being a real light saber, what is made of unobtanium, has a nuclear power source, and colapses into itself, this is such a great toy for the price.kids have battles in the yard until someone gets hurt, usually feelings, with thus generation, then we laugh at them. The fun never ends with these

I bought these lightsabers for my 11 year old and they were a hit. He uses them daily with his sister and they have held up well. I would imagine younger children may not play so gently which could damage them but for gentler faux fighting they’ve worked great. The price for what you get is a really good value. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase these as gifts for other children.

My kids absolutely love these lightsabers. I have not seen any of the issues that previous posts have claimed to have with these and I have owned them now for two months. My kids are not rough on their toys so that might help them stay in good condition. I would not recommend them to somebody that wants to use them like a real battle as they will most likely break.

Our 4 year-old grandson asked for light sabers for Christmas and we were happy to oblige. We had no idea that they would be the hit they were and are. Unfortunately we live on opposite coasts so we only get to watch him in action via Facetime, but what a joy! Our son told us he plays with them for hours! Even his one year old sister gets into the act!
