Yes, you need a compressor or a helium tank, you can not use lung power to inflate. On purchase the balloons are small, around 5-6" across, but they expand to about 20". I had no problem blowing up with a tank, I twisted the balloon around the inflater tube with just the tip inside the balloon. Super easy. Then to tie, just twist and twist and knot. I had no leakage prob after blowing up. Then, to get the wire on the balloon (think of wrapping a gift with ribbon) wrap the end around the knot, then go over the top and back to the knot. Loop it there then over again and end at the knot. Let extra dangle. They definitely float with helium, but the battery will tether it. I put on a table. Love, love.

Easy to inflate. Way more value for the money. These are gorgeous and easy to assemble, I used a tire pump, and you will have to stretch them out in all directions prior to inflation. And the string lights wrap around the balloon, no taping required. I hung them from the ceiling with fishing line and clear tacks. So stunning and worth the effort. I blew them up December 11th, and they are still perfectly inflated today December 23rd. I will absolutely be buying more.

The balloons are totally worth the price. Plan time to stretch and inflate them, it took us near 2 hours, but the effect was incredible. Then next day we untied and deflated them so we will be able to use them again. Even if they were not reusable they cost no more than a balloon bouquet purchased from a party store.

I enjoyed this product. It is a good value for money. The balloons have good thickness which requires more effort to inflate than regular balloons. I used an air pump to inflate these. The lights comes with batteries and are easy to install. Overall, i loved the product!
