This pet/kid gate works amazingly well and I love that I can block off 2 different areas (not at the same time though). We got this to keep our dog in our kitchen when we are gone but also we needed a gate to keep her from going in our basement. This is a perfect solution. It took my husband about 30 min to install. The ruler on the box is really nice to ensure the proper height of the hardware installation. Included is a few spacers to adjust for trim width discrepancies and we had to uninstall once to add another spacer. I think it's esthetically pleasing as well with the rose gold tones.

We installed this gate at the bottom of our stairs. Our 16 month old daughter constantly pulls on our other gate upstairs that is made with bars so we weren sure how this one would hold up since it is a less sturdy material. She pulls on it every now and then before we are able to stop her but it has held up well and Im very pleased with this purchase.

My most favorite thing about the baby gate is the spare mounting brackets so that we can relocate from the living room to our deck so easy. Once you figure out the hole placement it only takes minutes to install. I really like that its a see-through mesh barrier. This is a great alternative to clunky wooden baby gates and metal gates.

For my 2 small pups (18lbs) this works very well. They were easy to install out of the box and work well to keep the pups from the rooms I dont want them in. Unobtrusive and dont look bad at all. High enough not to be jumped over and when locked the dogs cant push past. If you've a large or heavy/ solid dog who was determined this wouldnt hold but for mine its perfect. I was so tired of clunky baby gates. Im VERY please with the $ spent on these.

We had a previous baby gate that would just pop on to the wall with rubber mounts and my 9 month old son kept knocking it over. Even the dogs started knocking it over. We decided on a retractable gate also for convenience so our wall wouldnt be ruined and the baby couldnt get hurt. This gate is literally such a blessing. The mesh material is soft and the baby doesnt try to mess with it, but its still enough that he can see us and is ok. A plus is the different locking mechanisms that the gate can stretch or stay at its stretched capacity, and it can be locked so my older kid cant mess with it as easily. Such a great convenience! And I love the rose gold/champagne color. This is the modern era of baby gates!
