Honestly you don’t need to have whiskey to buy this type of ice tray it’s the best to use even for regular beverages. At least for me because in my opinion, I hate when I put a whole bunch of ice in a cup and it takes up majority of the cups space and only always a small serving of whatever I’m drinking. They do need a little longer than a regular ice tray to make the ice.

They make the drink even colder without quickly watering it down. A little hard to remove ice. Don't fill full and run warm water over bottom. It's worth the little extra effort. The cubes don't quickly melt. We bought them because our ice maker couldn't keep up in the summer. Now it is full all the time because these oversized ice cubes are the preference!

I hate watered down drinks but still ya need ice sometimes, these are fantastic. Very flexible and the ice doesn't stick, cubes are pretty easy to push out from the bottom. The trays also stack nicely while freezing.
