Bought this because the road(s) I drive to work on have accidents on them every day and if I unfortunately become a statistic, then at least i'll have a non-biased 3rd party witness (a dash cam) to back me up! It's super easy to download the videos from it, and easy to install it, my only wish is that it was easy to remove if you decide to place it somewhere else or need to take the camera on/off on a daily basis like I do. Having to use 2 hands to remove it from the mount clip is slightly annoying, though isn't a deal breaker by any means.

I have done a preliminary installation into my Tesla Model S, and am very pleased with its performance. I particularly like the windshield attachment through the GPS upgrade mount, because it allows you to find the best place for recording images, for convenient access, and best location in my field of view.

Please note: the camera uses 5V only, and requires a step down converter for most vehicles. This is provided in both power cords, either as a stand alone converter, or inside the cigarette lighter connector. If you are going to attache it through a shorter wire and need to cut either cord, note that the cable contains just two wires, + and -, and be careful to power it through a converter to step you vehicles voltage down from 12v to 5v.

I bought this product out of paranoia after research (I got a job downtown in a major city.) It works beautifully and has wonderful video and sound quality even at night. The GPS unit is sold separately for about thirty dollars but tracks speed accurately as well as your absolute position. All of the measurements and necessary info are displayed right there on the video. The 1080p quality isn't just for the little screen but blown up on larger screens as well. The wave and impact sensors are great, although the potholes in Ohio require me to set the sensitivity to low. The super capacitor holds a charge that keeps the clock ticking for days. Nice settings and programming that are easy to set up. I recommend a 64 GB micro SD card that is of course video ready and just use the camera itself to format it. Thankfully no one has hit my car yet, but I'm prepared for it to happen eventually.

I bought this camera after trying a different brand that just didn't work for me. I have to say, I love this camera. It was super easy to install. I used the OBD connection so the camera is on all the time and monitors while parked. It is very small and I've got mine mounted right behind my rearview mirror. I can just see the bottom of it, so there's zero interference with my vision out the window. Video clips are really clear. I'm hoping for the GPS mount as an X-mas present but will buy it myself if I don't get it. I haven't had the camera out yet in the Texas summer heat, so can't comment on how it works, but I'm hoping it does well. Overall, very happy with this purchase.
