I purchased the leash in preparation for my upcoming adoption of a rescue dog. The quality of the stitching, the sturdiness of the materials, and the overall feel of the leash impressed me. it also impressed my friend, who then went and ordered his own. I also purchased the martingale collar, and am equally impressed with the feel and quality of it. Based on the construction, I expect this will last a long time, and am eagerly looking forward to using it for many years to come. I also appreciate the company's philosophy, and will be recommending the rescue group I'm working with to be a recipient of their donations. This is THE best leash available for use with a Pit Bull. Clarence is 15-months old and weighs 67 pounds. He is the sweetest dog I have ever owned, and I have owned many sweet dogs including two American bulldogs. He is as strong and energetic as he is sweet, which makes him the strongest dog I have owned. Prior to finding this leash, we went through six retractable leashes. Clarence can strip the gears on the retractables, and can jam them beyond repair. My wife encouraged me to try this leash. It is perfect and is as rugged and strong as Clarence is. While Clarence behaves well, there are times when he spots a rabbit or squirrel on a walk through the farm and attempts to run after it.

We ordered this leash for our 25 lb. mix bread and I couldn't be happier. We have had it for almost a year and a half now and it's still in excellent condition. We frequently take our dog on long walks and she's a puller, so it gets a lot of use. We also have the matching collar and have been very happy with it as well. I love that the whole leash is reflective to help keep us safe on our evening walks. The padded handles are very comfortable to hold on to. The D ring by the top handle is a great place to attach your poop bag dispenser. I really like having the shorter traffic leash handle in addition to the normal one. It really makes it easier for my kids to keep control of our dog. Because our dog is a medium breed and a little short (about 14 inches to the shoulder), when my husband or I use the traffic handle on her it's just a hair too short and lifts her head up and pulls her back. If she were taller, it wouldn't be a problem

I really like this leash, it allows me to walk my dog while hands free. The only thing that I think is missing is the manual stops button that you find on other retractable leashes. This leash does have an automatic stop, meaning if your pet tries to run away quickly it will stop them automatically, and it's pretty reliable. There is a little plastic piece that you can wrap the cord around to manually stop your pet but I find it to be annoying. I wish I could just press down on the center of the colored area to just stop manually.

This is great to have when you got a ton of things you are carrying - strap it to your wrist and only attach it when coming to intersections or streets. can be inconvenient if your dog goes side to side alot.

The tension is unfortunately much to tight for my dog. it must feel to her that I'm constantly pulling her towards me so I wouldn't recommend it for little dogs like my 8lb

This last is perfect for my needs. It allows me to feel secure that my dog won't be separated from me during non-responcive episodes. She doesn't generally pull, but did get excited going to the groomer and pulled some, I had a grip on the handle and it still held nicely. I'm sure she could break it and run if she needed to, so would definitely not recommend this for a heavy/strong untrained dog, but for a service dog it provides a great hands free usability while still making sure the dog stays attached and doesn't get tangled in a longer leash. .
