I was one of the silly ones and got a puppy during the spring quarantine. She is a border collie and sooo busy. I discovered she likes to run with the bike, but a regular leash made my hands tired and she could yank the bike with fast movements. This product is fantastic and helps me to tire her out with great exercise for her and me. We went 3 miles on her first attempt and I'm sure we will work our way up to 6 or 7 in no time.

We have a border collie mix that is high energy... And another that is normal. The dog we use this with is 20 lbs he doesn't have enough weight to pull me over to go after a squirrel but that would be a concern with our 80lb dog. If your bigger dog acts like he's been on walks before you'd probably be fine. I've began using verbal ques to let my dog know when I'm about to turn right but especially left since that's the side he's on. I also put my foot along him so he doesn't accidentally get bumped. He picked up on it right away and yips in excitement like a sled dog while I open the gate for our rides. This was perfect for what I wanted - just something to wear this little guy out a bit so we could go for a walk and be semi normal with the other dog. Note: we don't use the bungie part of the leash since that allows him to go beyond the front wheel. The straight leash works great with his harness, it was a few inches short for my dog so I attached a carabineer and we're good to go!

I put it on the seat post of my TREK. We started to ride and doggo loved it. We rode about 3 tenths of a mile when I could feel some slight resistance. The stretchy leash was perfect. Doggo was not used to the bike. He had a little bit of trouble hunching his back to poop and trotting. I’m sure with time he’ll be a fertilizing specialist. Smooth and evenly spread through out the neighborhood. Other than that he loved it. When we were through he was wearing his tongue like a red necktie. He slept well too. I am excited for tomorrow!
