    THis appears to be a well designed wooden based kit that is supposed to actually function. I have built a lot of UGears and ROKR wooden kits and am looking forward to this one. It even includes a 7 inch record that can play on this unit or a regular turntable. I’ll add to the review as I assemble the gramophone

    This was an awesome project for someone like me that love to put together! Very tedious at some parts and you have to be very careful with your parts because they can easily break. They do give some extra parts but if you break one you would probably have to contact the manufacturer.

    I didnt see them specify if you can get replace parts in the manual, which is why I gave 4 stars and not 5. It was in the back of my mind the whole time with each part (dont break this) and made me nervous to ruin to whole thing if I did break one. Luckily I got through it without breaking anything! All in all this thing actually plays 7 and 10 inch records and sounds pretty good. Very nice quality!

    As with all Rokr models that I have built, this one too was beautifully designed and a pleasure to assemble. Granted, it was a more difficult build than most, but that was what I was looking for. With only a few weak parts, for which they provide spares in case of breakage, the entire unit is a study in perfection. And, surprise, surprise, it actually plays music from the record provided. I should note that the output is enhanced significantly if one adds a 5V micro usb input. While there are several options for adapting the player to different record sizes, I doubt that many will go to the trouble as the sound quality is not such that one would use this gramophone for actually listening to music. The beauty of this item is in its design and building!
