The description says it's not absorbent and that's accurate, water does pool and takes a while to dry but it is waterproof and the floor stays dry beneath. But because it stays wet for a while you get the benefit and bonus of surprising the heck out of yourself and others in your household even hours after use. Highly recommended for the spooky factor.

There is no absorbency whatsoever. There is not thickness whatsoever. When you stand on it there is no comfort, but it was amazing for my Halloween party. I kept it in my bathroom for about a month, then the white started turning brown from people walking on it with shoes. A word to the wise if your going to buy it for a party buy it about a month before you want to use it because it does come rolled up. I had to roll it backwards and wrap rubber bands around it to get it to flatten out.

I got this mat because I wanted my bathroom to look bloody. This mat does give that effect. Now does it absorb water, not at all. does it have any cushion to it, nope. I had to lay it out under something heavy for a few days so that it would lay flat. But it does change to red when water hits it and my kids and friends love the look of it. I am happy with it, just wish it was more like a bathmat and less like a weird mat that changed colors.

This bathmat is super fun and distracting when I get out of the shower. The little drips of water make the mat turn red and making imprints with my feet makes me feel like a kid again. Its a little thinner than I thought it would be but it still feels soft under my feet. It also helps to see where the extra water drips are to clean up, by following the little "blood" trail. My boyfriend is also super amused by it and we most likely will be buying this as a gag gift for a couple friends.

It works PERFECTLY!! It wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be at first, because it's a little flat mat with no tread for traction. The minute it gets wet and you drip on to it, it looks like blood and it's the greatest Halloween bathroom decoration (or prank!). My only complaint is that once you use it, the water stains remain visible after it dries, making it difficult to clean and looking dirty after usage. Other than that I love it and we kept it in our bathroom for spooky season.
