Easy Use & Effective: Now stronger than ever! Tackle the most persistent weeds in your garden without the aching back and dirty fingernails. All you need to do is thrust the metal claw into the center of the weed and tilt the bamboo-long handle to pry the weed out.

The pointed claw is specially designed to make it easier to remove weeds no matter what kind of soil they grow on. Hard soils can be easily penetrated with the 5 pointed nail design of our garden claw. My yard is covered with some sort of thistle weed and I didn't want to spray poison on the lawn, so I got this Grampa's weeder. Works really well, I'd say it grabs the entire root 95% of the time once you get the hang of it. Every so often it will miss one, but even so, it clears out the soil around the root so you can grab it. If it takes out half a weed, make sure angle back in from the side where the hole is. I must have pulled literally a hundred of these thistle weeds today and it didn't kill me. I wish it were easier to release the weed. You can push the lever down with your foot to open it and use your shoe to push the weed out, then rake them all up when you're done. It works exactly as advertised...follow the three simple steps and the weed, with roots, are gone! All that remains is pulling the weed from the tool and start again. My only recommendation for the tool is to offer a 6-8 inch longer handle for taller users. I feel this additional length would increase the level of control while not reducing its effectiveness.

This really is the ultimate tool for pulling weeds! It only takes a minute to figure it out, then there's no more crouching over on your hands and knees to pull them out. However, there is still a bit of back bending to get the weed off the end of the tool and put it in the trash. No regrets.
