    The build is pretty good. The mat is soft and pleasant to stand on. The speaker is loud (you can change the volume level and alarm sounds) and everything fits together smoothly. You will need batteries ... I should get a few months of life in between battery replacements. Operating the carpet alarm clock is a little finicky... the technology seems likes its a few generations behind. Could probably benefit from Bluetooth technology and an app. I wouldn't say it's all bad though. Because of the mulit-step process you'll learn it's a pain to keep resetting. It's easier to set it and just let it run then rather then turn it off and reprogram it over and over again. EVERY TIME you turn it off (whether by the switch or taking out the batteries) you will need to reset it. With all that being said, I would recommend this to anyone who has problems getting up in the mornings. If you're serious about changing your wake up time or just need the help to get out of bed this will definitely get you on your feet long enough to get your head out of the clouds.

    My carpet alarm clock simply does the job, loud and effective. I just get up and go because I put it by the door of my bedroom! I recommend adjusting the standing countdown to 5 seconds, as 3 is a little short and I can step back into my bed.

    I'm a notoriously heavy sleeper. I often found myself sleeping through my alarm(s). Whether I changed alarm sounds, moved it across the room, increased volume... you name it... I just couldn't stay on my feet. I always found myself back in the bed. I decided that I needed something different to get me out of bed for good in the mornings.     I am one week in on using my carpet alarm clock. It took a whopping 5 maybe 10 mins tops to get batteries in it plug it in ot my computer and get it all set up using the advanced software. I am pretty basic when it comes to comouter skills and I found this very easy!! I have been on the fence to purchase this for a while now due to bad reviews and had full intentions to return if I had any issues but so far so good!! Very glad I finally ordered. The price is high but it does exactly what it says it will and I am faithfully now up every morning at 5:30AM bright and early with no issues. I keep a bottle of water by the bed and I have set my alarm to make me have to stand on it for the full 30 seconds so I drink my bottle of water while I stand on it to get the day started strong! You can set it for anywhere from 3-30 seconds. You can use their alarms or custom ones I just use theirs but there is alot ot choose from. I also have the volume on high just to be sure I get right up. Bottom line I LOVE IT!! If you are curious just order it you can always return super easily if it doesn't work for you. I do suggest plugging it into your computer though to use the advanced software it is SUPER easy!!

    Really cool tool to help w my ADHD sleepiness - I have quite a difficult time actually responding to alarm clocks and getting moving in the mornings. This really helps! I do have to keep it far enough away from my bed that it's not super-convenient to plop back down after I turn it off. And somehow I misplaced the battery compartment cover immediately upon opening. It eased totally my fault, but Christian at carpet alarm clock customer service didn't skip a beat; he immediately offered a generous solution! I received the replacement piece for my carpet alarm clock a few days ago. Now I am actually getting up fairly well. And when I use the tweeting bird alarm setting, it's hilarious to watch our dog try to figure out how the birds are hiding inside it! This is a unique and incredibly helpful product.
