    I was worried about volume, setting the time, and being able to extend the time necessary to turn off the alarm. First, you have 5 different sounds to choose from and 5 levels of volume with the highest being very loud, this was my biggest concern and I set mine to a 4. The other two concerns I highly recommend plugging into the computer and downloading their software. Takes 5 seconds and with the advanced set up you can set different times monday-sunday with 2 different alarm times per day. You can also customize how long you have to stand on the mat for, it says up to 30 seconds but I set mine to 45 and it counts down from 45 so basically as long as you want.
