I’ve installed chains since I was a kid. Minnesota to Tahoe. These pieces of crap broke on the first day. Coil came off and proceed to wrap around my axle before I could pull off the road. I might have put 10 miles on it. Out of the package the barely fit. I do not have after market tires. Double checked them on their site and they were the recommended ones for my truck. Ram 2014. But the cable just barely came through the adjustment notch. I watched their you tube video and followed instructions to the letter. Last thing you want is to get stuck. I had to cut the wrapped one off with wire cutters. Pure crap. If you have a truck. Go with real chains. Not this cable garbage

These cables/chains are very effective, the key is to install them correctly, I read many stories about them breaking or failing to work well.

Best to have two people, one to assist by driving, pulling forward and back as you call out when to move the vehicle and just a few feet at a time, while you apply tension to the cables, they will fit like a glove. Drove over Sierra Nevada Mountains, Hwy 50 without any incident

Hopefully won’t have to use these but very happy with my purchase. Do a dry run to familiarize yourself first. Very easy to install. Follow the instructions and it is a breeze. Nice to have a carry bag that the cable chains will fit into easily. Nice touch including gloves that go up to the elbow. Water proof instructions included. SCC is owned by Peerless. Call their 800 number. Person that answers the phone will help you with correct model number. Very impressed

These are awesome and fit our TOYOTA LAND CRUISER (275-70R-16). We knew the grade was steep to our VRBO home and that 4-wd or chains were required. The first day arrival there was no snow on the pavement headed up the Mtn. (not good) half way up we hit the daily snow melt that had refrozen in ice patches. we began to slide back down. We inched back down the Mtn. and installed these on the rear. went back up and they spun and chopped away at the ice until we crossed the ice patches. It snowed every day after that and we installed each time we arrived back to the Mtn. house from skiing. I could install in 5 minutes. Leaving Colorado we hit a terrible snow storm going up Berthough pass. We began to slide into oncoming traffic once. We pulled over and installed and rode the next 4 miles up the pass through the storm and believe me the stress after installing these was minimized. 4 mi. at 20-30 MPH on snow and they held up fine. Well worth a hundred bucks!!!!

These were a little tricky to put on at first. It is best to watch a video first once you understand how to put them on they're pretty easy. The only issue was the first time putting them on they were tight but once you get it on they loosen up and are easier. Once on they work great.
