   I bought 3 of these boats for my grandkids. We live on a large lake so I thought this would be a great idea. The kids ranged from 7 to 10 and loved them. In fact the dad and grampa had a hard time giving the controls over to the kids! They are fast! One of the best parts is that they re-right themselves by putting the boat in reverse and then forward again. All in all we loved the ones that worked correctly.

   9 year old grandson went crazy when he saw the YouTube video so he had to have one. The boat lives up to all the marketing and hype. It cannot be run in a pool. There must be ample space like a huge pond or lake because it is so powerfully fast. The boat will right itself if flipped over making it safe for the operator who remains a distance away. It does not retain water so won't sink. Controls are easy if a person has knowledge of running anything remotely. The upgraded battery Holy Stone 7.4V is a must, easy access to change, inexpensive and adds a great deal of run time. Although many boats this size advertised are far more expensive and some rated higher, this boat is really top shelf. It is incredibly well priced and designed with thought and precision.

   Totally awesome! I bought this for my fiance for his 23rd birthday. He wasn't expecting it at all since he was expecting to get a "gown up" gift; a watch or something. He absolutely loves it!! He's always waiting for the perfect weather to go take it out. He is happy that even though he is 23, he can still be a kid with something. And it goes super fast!! It so fun to watch that I'm planning to order another one (green) so we can race :)

   This item is very well made and designed for the money. It is an excellent trainer for bigger and more sophisticated boats to get the feel of how to steer and control a fast RC boat, as well as being good for just what it is.
   
   The ONLY drawback is that the instructions should clearly and better state that the boat MUST BE IN THE WATER to test its propulsion and steering etc. The failure to do so is, in my opinion, largely the cause of many of the negative reviews.

   Holy cow!!!! This think is FAST!!!! And the range is incredible! I live next to a pretty sizable lake and can run the boat so far away I can no longer hear it. And you gotta love the “rooster tail” it kicks up when at speed. Of course it’d be better if the battery didn’t last just 10 minutes - but it’s doing a heck of a lot of work for those 10 minutes! It’s a lot of fun - and something I can do on my lunch break to get my mind off work. Also - it might seem expensive - but you get quite a bit of value for it.
