These knee braces are excellent. The design makes perfect sense - with no pressure on the knee cap itself. The Velcro straps above and below the knee enable you to have the brace fixed fairly tightly without the straps cutting into the back of The knee. Knee pain is much reduced when walking and the braces give me the confidence to walk forward down a staircase rather than crabbing down sideways. Delighted with this product!

I’ve tried a variety of knee braces in trying to cope with limiting pain. Full sleeve braces can be very uncomfortable, and the ones with the rubber donut on the knee cap is obvious underneath clothing. I finally tried this more minimal approach, and it seems to work very well. The two Velcro straps make for easy adaptability. If the strap begins to loosen, it’s easily adjusted. It eases my knee pain just as well as the others, with improved comfort.

I’m very happy with this knee strap. It does an excellent job of putting pressure right where it’s needed across the patellar tendon, which improves tracking and prevents my kneecap from grinding when I hike. I went on a hilly 3-mile hike this morning and was completely without pain. There are many different causes of knee pain, but if you have arthritis between your patella and femur or chondromalacia, this product should help. I also like that it has an upper strap to help keep it in place, and provides support to the back of the knee, where I also have pain. I also didn’t have any trouble with it slipping down or out of place until the end of the hike when my leg was very sweaty, and just a small adjustment was needed. My only (mild) concern is that since I needed a Large size (I’m 5’ 3” and medium-boned), I’m not sure how this product would fit a large man. Just be sure to measure before you buy.

I developed patellofemoral pain syndrome from weightlifting and this brace works the best of 3 that I tried. I tried a full neoprene brace, which put too much pressure on the patella. I tried one that is a single band below the patella, and that lacked the back-of-the-knee support, and support above the patella.This brace eliminates the pain for walking and doing stairs, and it's minimalist design allows it to be easily worn under pants. Some reviews talk about slippage on the top band, but it stays in place all day for me. I highly recommend it.
