I live with my sister and brother-in law and they don't have locks on their doors. Now, me being a college student would like to sleep in past 9am however, the satanic rituals of newborns and toddlers are quick to notice a peacefully sleeping citizen like myself and try their hardest to disrupt that. Henceforth, I acquired the DoorJammer which makes it quite impossible other than the occasional "thud. *Fall to floor... Cry then run away*" to disturb me. It doesn't even bother me anymore cause the sweet sound of failure to break into my room gives me the peace of mind to fall back asleep and wake up with I want to.

This product works and works well. I purchased this device as added protection against push in burglaries. We live in a great area where crime is not really an issue. Very suburban waterfront community where car break-ins and burglaries are, but there have been a few push-in burglaries over the years despite the fact that our state is a open carry, mandatory shall issue state for those want a concealed permit, and where most of the homes on my block have firearms. Having said this, I can't imagine why anyone would go into someone's home in Va and risk getting shot. Having said this, I purchased this device for my front door to give me a little extra time to retrieve a sidearm.

I live in a house that I rent. Never felt comfortable with the way the basement door locks. I added a hook and eye but realize that doesn’t do much except a slight deterrent. This gadget is perfect. Set on concrete floor. Very easy to tighten and I guarantee no one is coming in that way. Installed in minutes. As a single woman that lives alone I feel much safer (won’t get rid of my Doberman though :-).

I originally found this product in a safety catalog for professionals. While seeking customer reviews on Amazon, i learned it came in two sizes. I BOUGHT THEM BOTH! One for my luggage during travel, and one i keep in my pursue in case i decide use local accommodations for a stay-cation. Great product. It really does give you that extra sense of safety women want.

Amazing! It works on every door in my house. It creates like a jam like the door is bolted. Had to use this for the first few days in my new home before I got alarms. It was an extra layer of protection. Such a good buy. I only wish you could use it from the outside part of the door as well. Better than that door stopper. After buying one I saw how effective and simple to use it was that I bought a few extra.
