   If you have a need to repel into a building and steal stuff use a grappling hook they said. Do not do that as it is illegal. If you want to catch a drifting log in a river then this is the grappling hook for you. If you like swinging from trees or picking up a quarter from fifty feet up then buy this bad boy.

   I bought this to help me pull some very old and nasty thorn bushes out or my 8 foot tall hedges. Some of the thorny things were over an inch in diameter and had thorns that would pierce a rhinos hide. I attached this to a winch, cut the thorn bush as low as I could, hooked this over a stem and pulled the thorn laden branches out. No sweat. It was small enough to get between the good plants and tough enough to pull out the most intertwined thorn bushes. Haven't really tried the pick up function except in a quick test but it did seem to work.

   While it folds down into a compact tool, I find it too heavy to fit into my pant pockets while swinging through Gotham city. The shiny silver also leaves something to be desired for reflecting the moonlight. Under 40 dollars though, this cannot be beat. I find myself worrying less about losing them when hung up on gargoyles. I, like others, do not believe this would tow a car but it is handy for blowing out the tires of pursuing vehicles. Easily the most essential tool in the utility belt.

   Whether you need to do some ninja work or pull some stubborn tree limbs down, this is the grappling hook for you. This thing has a nice sturdy build and easy to collapse design. Definitely recommended.

   I bought this gravity hook for a canoe trip I'm planning next month. Once it arrived, however, my 11 year old son has taken possession of it. He has had hours of summer fun trying to grab and lift various objects from the floor while leaning over the edge of his loft bed. His proudest moment was snagging a 5 pound kettle bell. He also has used the grappling hook to help climb trees at the neigborhood park. I'm looking forward to getting one of these that I can use, because I don't think I'll ever get this one back. Would recommend for cheap, useful fun.

   Wow, this thing is heavy duty with great design. Noticed the edge where the hole is to tie and secure a rope etc is a little sharp and was worried this can damage the rope etc. so took a dremel and smoothed our the sharp edges real well and now it’s perfect! Can’t wait to try it out!
