It takes a cut or two to get the hang of it, but once up and running, it helps cut straight lines! Who knew! Best advice is to do a test cut to ensure the placement of the front red "cut line" matches the actual cut line of the saw blade. You may have to adjust the red guide a few clicks in either direction, or move the actual guide a 1/4", to get the cut you need factoring in the width of the saw blade (do you need 1/8 less than the cut line or do you need to slide over 1/8 and get a full width cut). Lots of levers to pull to get the straight cut you need but once you get everything set, cut away! Works with my Ryobi circular saw without a problem.

Once set up it makes extremely accurate cuts. Handled gently, should last a long time. I was getting less than 1/64" variation on ripping LP siding and OSB sheeting. Removing and re installing the circular saw for me, did not require recalibration. Saw hold down clamps do not need a gazillion pounds of torque since most of your concentration should be on the edge guide. Hand on the saw is only there for the trigger and a push. Table saw results....love this thing!

This tool worked well for me. I needed to cut a large 4 x 8 sheet of 3/4 plywood. I was able to make cuts on the large sheet easy. The lines were straight and smooth, as compared to me doing it free hand. Good tool for large sheets of plywood when you don't have a large table saw.

I was reluctant to write a review, but now that I’ve used there for over seven months, I’ve come to realize that this thing is freaking unbelievable. It basically almost replaces a table saw. As long as you can make a 90° line, this thing will cut it straight. The set up is a little difficult and the instructions are not great, but once you get it going, it works great. Basically, I keep the saw on my saw. I don’t remove it anymore after I got it set up.

While building a walk-in chicken Coop, nesting boxes, and run - I got tired of trying to use a chalk line by myself... And so I ordered this despite one of my favorite told people saying it seemed gimmicky. It took a little bit of time to figure out how to get it to attach well to my DeWalt worm saw - but once I did get that right, it worked flawlessly to make cuts out of OSB and plywood as thick as 5/8 in. I see no reason why I would not work on much thicker material. This is an ideal solution for cutting sheet material.
