This is the BEST heating pad I've ever owned. What's better about it? 1.) The padding is just right, so that the electric coils are cushioned and don't poke into you. 2.) The fabric on the one side is very soft. Kinda wish it was the same fabric on both sides, as it makes you feel like you can only use one side which is a bit problematic w/ the position of wherever you plug in-would have been good to have both options, but not a deal breaker. 3.) Heats to low or warm and doesn't feel like it's burning your skin as most older heating pads did. 4.) Cord is good length, as is control buttons. Thought went into this. I'd buy again!

I got this for my boyfriend's mother who has having some health challenges after a car accident. My only requirements when I was looking for a heating pad for her were a few different temperature settings, big enough to span her shoulders, and automatic shutoff in case she fell asleep with it on. I was really pleased that this item met all those criteria and that it was such a good price. She is still raving about this heating pad, and she loves the color, the plush surface, the size and the temperature controls. She keeps saying she doesn't know where she'd be in her healing without this heating pad, especially on cold-weather days or after certain medical appointments. I am strongly tempted to get one for me now!

We have purchased many many of these over the years. My in-laws ask for one or two every year for Christmas. They are nice and large. They can cover your entire back, the heat up quickly and even on the warm setting it puts out a good deal of heat. We ended up ordering two for our household as well because we like them so much. They hold up very well not easy to use. You can easily reach the controls while using the pad on your back
