I fractured my tailbone and ordered this after I realized it was stupid for me to keep getting up and down to warm up a microwave rice pack when every move aggravated my injury. On high, the heat moves in a cycle of medium to hot back and forth. When it is at its hottest I am in pure bliss. I am glad I sprang for the King size. This is just large enough to do the job.

Oh I love this heating pad! The outside is very soft which is a nice change from the old ones that weren't particularly soft at all. I love how big it is and I love that the outside doesn't move around like the traditional ones did because they just had a cover; this is all one piece. I get migraines and heat helps so I wrap this around my head and tuck the excess under my head and then I have a nice heat "cocoon" for my head. The hottest setting is hotter than I prefer, but it does get nice and hot. I love that it turns off automatically after so long because I have a tendency to doze off when I'm using it.
