My old heating pad was literally 40 years old. I do some rowing for exercise and get sore sometimes, so a heating pad after a big work out is soothing. The last time I pulled out that tired, small 40 year old heating pad, I figured there must be big improvements in heating pads and I was right. This new heating pad is large, covering the small of my back all the way up to my neck and the fabric is soft. There are several settings, but I gave it 4 stars on temperature control because it does get quite hot and I seldom go above “warm”. Overall, I’m very pleased with this heating pad. It’s a nice way to take care of me!

Excellent heating pad comes in good size to wrap around thigh or partly sit on it and lean on it. I sleep on it; which is discouraged to do by the maker, but I do it anyway. Good amount of heat comes on high while low setting gives comfy warmth. The fabric is soft and plush. Much easier to bend around the contour of my body. I bought it for my son on busy schedule so I washed it in my washer and dried in dryer. I tested this heating pad for a few days; it passed my test
