   I have a 5 mo old lab pup who is still learning loose leash walking. I had been using one of the round climbing rope type leashes but if my pup pulls or if I️ want to hold him from passers by the rope leash started to kill my hands especially on cold mornings! This leash is great, the distance from harness to first loop is perfect for training lose leash walking. It is good quality and I️ really like that it has the reflector seam in it. Theres an additional ring by the end loop of you want to make the leash shorter, or (what I️ do) tie poop bags there. There’s even a little bit of padding in the loops.

   This leash is comfortable for the user and sturdy for the pup. I always put my hand through the loop and hold on to the leash for extra security. Even when my dogs are really pulling (they’re 45 and 65 pounds), there’s no discomfort in my hands. I can also easily use the hand loop that shortens the leash. This allows me to quickly pull my dogs closer to me, having more control. This is ideal when walking my 10 month old puppy who wants to dart away and play with other dogs she sees in our neighborhood. I’m confident when using these leashes. And bonus- they come in great colors.

   We are loving this leash! The handles padding are nice for when our puppy pulls. (4months, 30lbs) We can tell a difference from the regular leash handles. We accidentally bought a six ft leash instead of four foot but tied a knot to make it shorter so we now have three places to grab so we can adjust to the intensity of his pulling. The six ft is also nice for us to have our kids walk him with the one ft and then we can have a hold of it for when he sees a squirrel or person...or trash. Comes in handy for puppy training class. Had for about a week and walked at least once, if not twice, a day. So far, so good. Love that they give back go rescues!

   My Jack Russell Terrier rescue got frightened by a loud noise at the house, took off with her collar on and dragging her leash. She was too fast to get caught. I figured the leash would ether save her or kill her. She was gone for 48 hours. She was spotted, even by the Police, but would run away from anyone. During the 48 hours, she ran through freshly plowed fields, cornfields, along by County roads outside of town, city streets, backyards. Her red leash got caught on a person's backyard deck; and the people who lived there took her inside and called me from her dog tag, I ran some water on the leash, washed it in hand soap and then washed it in the washer with a load of bath towels. The leash is like NEW. I mean it looks like when I bought it. I can't begin to tell you how good it looks.

   This is a super comfortable leash for my dog Pride and me. This was our first leash with an additional handle, and we loved it. The handles themselves feel great in my hand (the under side of the handle is REALLY soft), and Pride didn't pull once when I held on to both handles. I will say that if you don't have long arms I can see how this leash could initially seem overwhelming with regard to the length and reaching the second handle. But I'm telling you that this leash is worth it. I'm mad that I'm just learning about it (Pride will be 11). I could have gotten a warm and fuzzy about purchasing this leash a long time ago (they give a leash to a dog in need when you make a purchase)!

   I had a leather leash that I loved until my dog ran into a lake with it, and it became hard and rough to hold onto. In deciding on a replacement, I chose to try this one based on the neoprene handles - as well as the secondary handle close to the clasp. I love it! I have two German Shepherds - and only one is properly "loose leash" trained so far. The untrained one is 80 pounds and stubborn, but both the strength and second handle on this leash make it easy to train him. I love that Max and Neo supports rescues, and all of their products I've used so far are very high quality at an affordable price!
