Weekend warrior here. Had to re-do ventilation ducting during my DIY kitchen remodel (staying busy during self-pandemic-isolation). My trusty old WISS pattern shears (1 for Left, 1 for Right, 1 for Straight cuts) are still sharp - but what a miserable way for this un-skilled, non-ductwork pro to do things. I always wind up with a cut or two - then there's the jabs and pricks from the sharp metal 'thorns' that shears sometimes leave along the edges.THEN I ordered this tool.Amazing box, case, spare cutting insert, in custom-cutout foam in metal storage box. Hefty and solid! Smooth operation and I was an 'expert' with this nibbler by my 3rd cut. I've used "hand nibblers" before to cut out holes in chassis boxes for electronics projects.

Used it to cut 19 gauge metal panels when building pole barn. If you've ever had to cross-cut or angle cut corrugated metal panels with metal shears you will know how enormously painful it is. Starting looking on-line for advice on alternative approaches. Saw video's for how nibblers work. So decided to buy this one and give it a try.Like always, I looked for the higher quality, higher price product - instead of "deal". Picked this because of thereviews.Itt was awesome. Seriously. I am not exaggerating. It made cutting panels so much easier, I can't say enough. This product worked perfectly. You have to press it into the panel fairly hard since the nibbler has such a small bite, so it is a two person job (one person holding the panel, while the other works the nibbler) but that's nothing compared to the pain of shearing. I do strongly recommend watching the video on how to work it.

I thought a Kenmore dryers body would be made of a pretty thick sheet metal. I thought it was a lot thicker than the 16 gauge max of the Lnchett nibbler. I pulled the nibbler out of the box to admire the machining. It looked pretty good. Installed it into my drill and I thought I'd just nibble out about 1/4" and see what it involved. Hit the trigger and nibble out about a 1/2" and stopped. It was neither noisy or difficult to do. So I pulled on the trigger and cut out the about 4" hole in the side of my wife's dryer as if I've done this many times before. I believe this nibbler is one of the better values out there for cutting straight as well as curves in sheet metal simply and with tons of control.

I just used it yesterday and I feel it is a little awkward to use. It cuts WELL, a wider cut than I wanted, BUT your material MUST be clamped or held down in order to operate the drill. Another alternative would be to mount the drill to something and work it that way. Quality is great, lets see how the blade holds up. Instructions are a little vague and may go to Youtube to see more. It does a clean cut and I would buy again depending on how it holds up.

Although I haven’t used this yet, the idea of cutting through sheet metal and to maneuver the cuts in different shapes is much more exciting than using limited use tin snips. The tool feels strong and the storage box it comes in is nice and heavy. I can’t wait to try it.

It seems to work best with the drill at full speed. I tried spinning the drill slower for more precision, but it does not cut nearly as well.

It nibbles out small crescents with very sharp points. Be careful where you use it because thousands of little crescent needles get everywhere
