Easy to use. The lock feature stayed solid for me. It shapes around edges and corners making it easier to cut the proper shape out on the corresponding item you are trying to make fit. Does rely on user to hold in place during marking ao if you move, it moves. You also have to measure how far in my case down the tile that cut goes, after a few tries I got better but the errors were mine not the device. Overall a good purchase and would by again.

Great product, you can cut out exact shape that you need in one simple easy method in a really fast way. When cutting tile I am a perfectionist so it used to take me a couple of tries to get the cut just right. It has cut down on time as well. The locking mechanism is pretty sturdy. It was really nice to have two different lengths as well. I will mostly be using the 10 inch one the most. The tool it self is pretty straight, all the slates are about 1/16 and stiff enough that you won’t worry about them breaking. It really does make cutting edges a lot easier. I have already used it on tile and wood and vinyl flooring as well. Good investment even if you are not the everyday diy-er. At first I didn’t know what to think because name brand is not really known, but the quality of the product will make me definitely think about looking for their brand when looking for other tools.

I'm in the process of renovating my home and this profile contour gauge is perfect for copying shapes to cut flooring to the utmost precision. Their extremely durable and works excellent on objects. I think it's great that it comes in a 2 pack - one for the big objects and one for the smaller jobs. Locking mechanism works well and doesn't falter. I absolutely love the orange and black color combination as well. These are solid heavy duty contour gauges that's perfect for any job!

My son and I recently got into woodworking and this tool helped us to create more accurate measures for some odd shaped pieces. Once the shape has been made, you can lock it into place. The pieces move, but are tight, not loose so they do not slip and slide. There were dozens of pieces packed tightly. Just push the tool down on the item you want to measure and the individual pieces move upwards, then you lock it into place. Easy to use.

I just got this in so I haven't "used" it yet. But I have played around with it & it does exactly what it says it does. I'm going to be cutting tile coming up & this will be wonderful. I also love having 2 sizes because that let's me use it everywhere. And of course being able to lock it is a must.
