This is a great option for anyone trying to diy their project. For me, it was re-tiling a bathroom and it helped tremendously. Really worthwhile purchase. It has a ruler on it which also helped but I mainly used the contour gauge. Its pretty accurate and the locking mechanism holds well. I wish there were more teeth for better accuracy but this was perfect for my personal project.

Ordered this tool after a recent tile backsplash job in my kitchen. I was tired of guessing angles and cuts needed on tiles and wasting incorrectly cut tiles. When I received the contour gauge I was impressed with the quality and accuracy that I could achieve. Only wish I had the gauge before the tile job now! I am sure this will come in handy in the near future!

This was an interesting tool to research. I was not sure it would work but it's actually quite accurate. Only drawback was that sometimes the little teeth don't fully deploy. Easy fix when pushing against the item you are measuring just use your finger to adjust the design if your doing extreme precision cut's. For most work like cutting a board to size etc. this is actually really great. instead of making 20 to 30 cut's i was able to use the tool to get the exact size since using a tape was going to be tough in a tight space. So a 4.9. I would definitely recommend this as it is a time saver for the average Joe.
