Very easy to set up! At first I was worried that the velcro portion (attaches the rear of the basket to the center portion of the handlebars) would be too weak, but surprisingly its pretty strong. My dog is only 5 lbs so she's not too heavy. I also love that it has a drawstring because my baby girl gets too excited when riding with me and likes to jump up! I pull the drawstring to keep her body in the basket and her head out so she can feel the breeze. This basket also has lots of pockets which is good for carrying your phone, dog leash, treats, etc. Great for any dog (or cat) owner who wants to take their fur baby for a ride!

I purchased a cruiser bike from a local bike shop and wanted to be able to take my dog with me. She is a 5 lb Chihuahua so I was looking for something small but also sturdy since her safety was my number 1 priority. The fact that it doubles as a carrying bag is awesome. The basket is very solid. The bottom insert has a fuzzy lining so she has something soft to sit on. Once I got it on the bike, I was happy with how tight the straps could go. The basket was very secure and did not feel as though it would come unattached. The addition of the pockets on the sides is very convenient. The harness strap worked great. She is a pretty calm Chihuahua and sat still the whole time so it did not get tested by a dog that would squirm. I do believe it would hold up well but the draw string top should also help for pups that cannot sit still.

My little yorkie loves going for bikes rides in her little basket. It has the leash attached inside to keep her from jumping out, plus the top closes up around her. My only complaint is putting it on and taking it off. The straps are a hassle and I do wish I could use this on a permanent bike attachment to hook on and off. Other than that, it's great!

7 lb toy poodle fits. He gets a little scared on the ride. Stability is pretty good, but you have to crank down on the screws and add bungie cords just to feel safer. It does the trick but it is bulky and at times feels unstable in its attachment to the bar. I would not put a dog much bigger than 7lbs in here.
