This thing is cool. I had to add more than just a few drops of soap, I poured it in a bit but not a lot, I'd say at least 15 drops. Give it time it will work. Before putting the jellyfish in, let the air bubbles settle out for 15 mins. You'll see the small bubble going up. If you have cats, I would be very careful cause you may end up with water everywhere and a fake jellyfish in the cats mouth as the cat runs away with it. Today was day one and so far no issues. The blue light is my favorite.

Just got mine. Went for the big one, as it got better reviews than did the smaller models. Setup was easy and now our new pets are "swimming" around. I had planned to take it in to school and put it on my desk, but I've got it set up at my house right now and I'm re-thinking that idea. I don't want the students zoning out to them. So far well worth the money. Hypnotic. My first "Lava Lamp," and I came of age in the mid 60's when everyone had them. Somehow I missed out then (had the rock and roll records, the paisley shirts, the wide wale cords, the drugs and the waterbed, but no lamp) Well, I still have the rock and roll (on CDs and FLAC files) and a lamp. Better late than never..

I'm in love with this tank, it's so soothing and calming. Definitely helps when I have a stressful week at work to just lay with my music and watch these lifelike jellyfish dance and play with each other. Takes my mind off everything for a minute. Very quiet motor and easy to put together, using a straw to remove the air bubbles from the jellyfish was a very helpful tip included in the instructions, well worth the money!

Saw this at a museum gift shop with my niece and she said she wanted it. Well you know those gift shops and their prices ... so I saw this one here with the best reviews and it didn't seem too "cheap" to be lame so I got it for a 6 yr old kid for his birthday. He loved it. His older 8 yr old brother saw it set up and sheepishly asked me for one for his upcoming bday! So I know my niece will definitely like it for her upcoming bday! Very easy to set up and the jelly fish look great under the changing lights. I'm about to buy myself one!

This lamp has to be the coolest night light I've come across. I recently took my 7 year old son to the aquarium and we saw this same product in the gift shop (you know how prices are in gift shops) for $130, but he fell in love with it. I found it here for $50 less, and his grandmother ordered it for his birthday. It arrived quickly and it's absolutely mesmerizing to watch. It's whisper quiet, has somewhat realistic movement with the jellyfish, and has bright color changing lights. You can also set the color to one solid color if you have a favorite (I prefer the blue, it makes the jellyfish pop.)

Absolutely love this light! Way better than an aquarium you need to clean with real fish. Daughter fell in love with the jellyfish at the Monterey aquarium and this light and the floating jellyfish are so realistic and mesmerizing the way they individually bob and float and move around. She loves the blue light setting, but all the different color settings are very neat. Worth the money. Great for a nightlight in a childâ€™s room, turns off automatically after 20 minutes.
