It's a magic product. My Winter down parka jacket got torn along the stitch line, while sitting in Train and I thought I won't be able to use the jacket any longer. that's when I came across this magical product. I found it on Google by randomly searching for 'permanent fabric adhesive'.

I used this product to glue patches on the inside knee areas of my sons' jeans. My boys are constantly wearing holes in their knees so I glued the patches on the insides as an extra layer to prolong the life of the knees without having to get out my sewing machine to sew patches on the outsides. I used the glue on the edges of the patch and on the jean material I was gluing the patch to just around the edge of the patch. This was about 3 weeks ago, the jeans have went through many washes and the patches are not coming off or peeling back as you can see in the picture. This solution has been way easier than sewing patches on the outsides of the jeans. I also did a pair that already had a large hole in the front and this method worked fine.

I need to make a repair on the leather driver seat of a VW Passat and wasn't sure on how to tackle it. Found Tear Mender after doing some research and I'm pretty impressed with the results. I put a fabric backer against a ~4 inch tear and followed the directions by putting the adhesive on the underside of the leather and a bit on the backer. Hold the material together to let it sit and in a matter of minutes your have a strong flexible bond. I let the repair sit overnight before sitting on it and I'm happy to report that it's a successful repair. I used some black leather polish to touchup and hide the repair area.

Exactly what I wanted, sticky to put on, but can smooth with fingers. rubbery when dry but does not peel off like rubber cement. I had a project with very old (60years plus) fur coat collars that had been stored in a fabric bag in a dry place.. Hated to toss them because first of all, I am not pro fur and I felt so bad about the sacrifice these animals had made, but, second, they were not in the best of shape and I was not sure I could salvage them. So, I used this to seal up old needle punches and rips. Then, I hand backed, then with fabric to give them strength, then hand appliqued to a hand made quilt I did in chocolate velvet. Made a really lovely bed throw, delicate, but worth the work.

I have a 17 year old boat cover that has several torn spots. I found this product and I can say, this stuff really works. I used a piece of a heavy weed cloth for the patch. The weed cloth was very porous which was great for a patch. I spread the liquid using a plastic spatula around the tear and then applied the patch. The product dries within minutes and patch is stuck securely to the cover. I used a piece of aluminum foil under the area protect my work table. I really like this product and will let other's know how great it worked.

This is great for cotton and many cotton blend materials. I haven't used it on fabric backed vinyl but with a cotton patch I have no doubts it would work well. I've used it to patch jeans and hem jeans and cargo pants. It's very runny so it can get messy, but on most materials and skin, you can just peel it off or rub your fingers back and forth on it to get it off.
