    The product is just as described, liquid latex. Dab it on, let it penetrate the fabric pieces, and let it dry. The end result is a latex rubber bond that is durable and stretchable. In the dog bed, I used a whole bottle (probably overkill) to seal the rug completely to the sides of the dog bed. The dogs cannot get any purchase on the seam so they have been totally unable to rip it apart. And they have tried repeatedly.

    I bought this to repair a bonded leather couch that has started flaking away. Matching the color was the most difficult part. The patch is sturdy and has held, however, the part that has the patch is a bit stiff and hard. Just looking at it, it looks great. When you touch it, you can tell it is a patch. Great for a small spot that needs repair.

    This stuff could have fixed the Titanic, but only as long as they applied the patch in 0.048 seconds. You gotta move quick! The product seems to chiefly be liquid latex, as it smells and behaves a lot like what I have used for costume make-up prosthetics. The latex is kept liquid by mixing it with ammonia (I think), and when exposed to air, the ammonia begins to evaporate, leaving the latex behind. Ammonia happens to evaporate incredibly quick, so for big patches, its best to glue down parts at a time, as opposed to all-at-once. The end product though, is fantastic. I patched a skate shoe, and I'm not sure I could put a hole in that spot with a drill now.

    I "broke" a 10 pound weighted vest that I use when running. It "broke" in that one side of the strap that clasps in front to hold it in place fell off. That strap part is attached to a roughly triangular piece of material that is sewed onto the seam of one side of the shoulder straps -- there's an opposite end that's sewed into the opposite shoulder strap, so they clasp together and hold the vest in place.

    I bought a patch large enough to cover the worn area, stuck it under the tear (so you cannot see the patch) and used the adhesive to stick the patch to the chair material. The material on the seat is now stiff where the patch / worn area is, but the tear is hardly visible, and it feels very secure. After letting it dry overnight (I used quite a bit of the mender for "insurance"), I have been sitting on it daily and vacuum it weekly for at least a month now without any further issues!
